Additionally, Avia represented SULC in the National and Regional ABA and BLSA Negotiations competitions. While attending SULC, Avia was also the Nathan J. Folse Scholarship recipient.

Avia is an active member and a part of the legal team at ONE Community Church in Plano, TX. She is also a mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas and the Dallas Independent School District E-mentoring program. Avia, a resident of Allen, Texas is married to Tony Gauthier and has two twin boys and three stepchildren. She enjoys community involvement, mentoring, life-changing conversations, and traveling regularly.
