Gamu J. Hativagone is a homegrown talent at Roberson Duran Law, PLLC, having interned for The Law Office of Jaclyn Y. Roberson, PLLC, during law school. Ms. Hativagone represents clients in a wide array of family law and probate matters; divorce, child custody & visitation, grandparents’ rights, modifications & enforcements, division of property, child support, termination & adoption and more.
Ms. Hativagone received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2018, where she earned various scholarships and awards. Ms. Hativagone has extensive experience with legal research and writing. She was a staff writer of The Scholar – St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. While at St. Mary’s she was actively involved in various student organizations, including the Black Law Students Association and the Immigration Law Students Association, where she served on the Board. During law school, she worked with the St. Mary’s Civil Justice Clinic to provide pro bono legal services to low income clients. She volunteered for the San Antonio Bar Association’s Community Justice Program’s Family Law Clinic, Wills Clinic, and the Veteran’s Clinic. As a law student, Ms. Hativagone also represented low-income immigrant clients in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. As a student attorney, she successfully represented an asylum client.
Ms. Hativagone also volunteers in the community with organizations such as the San Antonio Volunteer Buddies. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, she is fluent in Shona and is currently learning Spanish.
