Early in life, I learned that we all must deal with differences. Growing up in a divided family, with one foot in rural America and the other in a college-town, I thought about differences more than the average American kid. I was born and raised in northern Oklahoma, where my brother and I would go back and forth between our father’s cattle ranch and our mother’s home in the neighboring county. There were always disputes to mediate and different sides to consider; no wonder my brother and I went on to become lawyers, even though there had never been any attorneys in our family.

By the time I was ready to go to college, my interest in the differences between people led me to study the social sciences. During my twenties, I sought experiences to learn more and more about how people operate. I traveled to nineteen foreign countries while living out of a backpack, taught a semester of high-school English in Chile, and worked in politics in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas, for both Republicans and Democrats. It was around this time that I made the decision to attend law school to make a living out of helping people with their differences.

In 2011, I enrolled at the University of Colorado School of Law, located in Boulder, Colorado. During law school, I was selected to be on the school’s national trial team. Competing in trial competitions throughout the country allowed me to hone my advocacy skills and learn from experienced trial attorneys. When I wasn’t competing or studying, I was working: one job at a private firm, two at local district attorney’s offices, and one at the United States Attorney’s Office in Denver. After learning from skilled mentors in each of these places, I graduated from law school a semester early and began my career as a prosecutor in Colorado. As a deputy and assistant district attorney, I handled misdemeanor, felony, and appellate cases. While working as a prosecutor, I gained jury trial experience. During this time, my family was also lucky to live in some interesting places; for example, my first job out of law school was the deputy district attorney position in Aspen, Colorado.

In 2016, I founded Warren Law Firm in Safety Harbor, Florida. The firm has a clear vision for how to keep costs down while obtaining the best results possible. In order to keep costs down, the firm enjoys low overhead by using the latest software and technology. Additionally, the firm does not engage in traditional advertising; by working quickly and efficiently, we enjoy repeat business or gain clients by referral. In order to ensure the best results, we study and practice the dying art of storytelling, which demands investigation and the ability to empathize. We get to know each client so we can use their personal stories in a powerful and persuasive manner to convince a judge or jury. Currently, I reside in Tampa with my terrific wife and basset hound. While not at work, I can be found at the driving range, at a local pub watching college football, or at home with my family. Please call or stop by my office in downtown St. Pete to speak to me about your legal needs.
