Our Legal Policies

The legal details about our site and services

Overview

Thank you for visiting our website (the “Site”). Justice For Me was founded to remove the financial barriers that separate people from obtaining quality, trusted legal counsel.

Our core values include transparency and trust, and those values extend to how we communicate with you. The following linked documents (collectively, we’ll call them the “Agreement”) set out the terms and conditions for using our Site and services. Our Agreement with you is legally binding. For that reason, we ask you to read the Agreement carefully before accepting it. It will give you a sense of who we are, what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.

To help you navigate your way through all the details, we’ve tried to write the Agreement in plain English and make it as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes the law requires us to say things using certain words or in a specific way, such as conspicuous text in bold or all caps. The short version is this: We treat people fairly and honestly, and we ask in return that you treat us fairly and honestly. If the Agreement is not acceptable to you, you may not use the Site or our services.

Please note that these summaries only feature select parts of the Agreement and do not replace the full text. For that reason, these summaries are not legally binding, and do not substitute for the full Agreement.

Please review the Terms of Use before using the Site.

The Terms of Use explain that we grant you a limited license to use our Site, so long as you agree to some basic ground rules. By using the Site, you agree to the rules, and we can revise these rules from time to time.

Section 1 provides definitions for terms you’ll see used throughout the Agreement.

Sections 2 and 3, describe the limited license we grant you to use the Site and the content standards. You’re not allowed to spam people, steal content, resell our services, or try to undermine the Site’s functionality. You cannot use our Site to post deceptive or illegal material, harass people, or do other crazy stuff. Be reasonable and responsible, don’t do anything illegal, and you’ll be fine.

Section 4 describes how you may access our services. To fully use the Site, you need to create an account as a professional or a client member, and we have certain requirements for professional members, which include attorneys and their paraprofessionals, who wish to use the Account to connect with their clients and deliver legal services.

Section 5 describes how funds are disbursed to professional members when we received invoices for the services they provide to client users.

Section 6 makes clear that we are not a party to any agreements professional members make with client members for professional services and that these agreements cannot change any terms of this Agreement.

Sections 7 and 8 described how we keep your content confidential and secure and how you have to do your part in protecting both our content and yours.

Sections 9 and 10 clarify ownership of content. While we allow you to use our Site content, we still own it. The same applies to us. You allow us to use your content when providing you services, but you still own it.

Speaking of content, we respect copyrights. If someone is violating your copyright on our Site, follow the instructions in Section 11.

If you breach this Agreement and that gets us in legal trouble, Section 12 requires you to make it right by indemnifying us.

Sections 13, 14, 15, and 16 limit our legal liabilities. We are not a law firm nor liable for the content on the Site and offer no warranty. It’s particularly important to read these sections carefully. Some of these terms are so important that courts require them to be place in special conspicuous text, such as all caps.

We will try to help resolved disputes you may have with another Site user, but Section 17 provides that our proposed resolutions are not binding on your or the other user.

Section 18 of the document is “boilerplate” language that is included in many legal documents, but the fact that it is included in many legal documents means it is important and you should read it as well. It is particularly important that you note Sections 18.1 and 18.3, which state that you must make sure that your country or state allows you to use the Site in the manner that you’re using it.
